Chris and I are doing a Kitchen Makeover/Remodel and the questions have already begun. Here are a few pictures that I have taken and I need advise... Please comment...
Here is a picture of the cabinet door after I had sanded. Chris likes the natural wood look and the cabinets are oak, but I had planned on glazing the cabinets. Chris is trying to change my mind of course. 
Here is a picture of the cabinets the way they look now.... Very dark.
Here is a picture of the sanded cabinet with a sample of the flooring that we bought, which is very light in color.... Now here is a picture of how I want the cabinets to look. I was thinking of going a little darker with the base color so they are not too light. What do you all think?? Please comment.

As much as I like wood, I think you should paint and glaze the cabinets how you want. When you have too much wood in the room it actually takes away from the overall look. If you paint the cabinets, it will make the flooring stand out more. Just my 2 cents worth. Have fun!
I agree with Julee. I think you should paint them. The wood is pretty but just not the look that you are going for.

You are going to take the time to sand all your cabinets and then REPAINT THEM!!! Plus this picture looks like they rough up the edges... so you'll sand your heart out, repaint and then sand again?! : )
I'm really diggin all the colors you have when left natural!! Not that I am any interior decorator or have the slighest clue about anything when it comes to home styles...
I vote for paint/glaze. I love the look your going for. The wood looks lodgey to me, which is good but your inspiration photo doesn't say lodge to me.
John says - DON'T PAINT THEM but he tells me that all the time and I don't listen and I'm his wife. :)

To answer Lynn's comment, I only sanded the one door because my husband wanted to see what it would look like. I do not plan on sanding all of the cabinets and then painting them.
